Your Right to Data Deletion

Under various privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our systems. This page explains how you can exercise this right.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove the following information from our systems:

  • Your account information and profile data
  • Personal contact information (name, email, phone)
  • Support tickets and conversation history
  • Usage analytics and activity logs
  • Payment and billing information
  • Integration data and API keys
  • Any other personal data associated with your account

Data That May Be Retained

Please note that we may retain certain information for legal or regulatory purposes, including:

  • Records required for tax or accounting purposes
  • Data needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
  • Information required by law enforcement or regulatory bodies
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you
  • Backup data that will be deleted during our next cleanup cycle

How to Request Data Deletion

Method 1: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@zoopy.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Account ID or username (if known)
  • Confirmation that you want to delete your data

Method 2: Account Settings

If you have an active account, you can also request deletion through your account settings:

  1. Log in to your Zoopy account
  2. Go to Account Settings
  3. Navigate to Privacy & Data
  4. Click "Request Data Deletion"
  5. Follow the confirmation steps

Method 3: Contact Form

Use our contact form at zoopy.io/contact and select "Data Deletion Request" as the subject.

Processing Timeline

We will process your data deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. Here's what happens:

  • Day 1-3: We verify your identity and account ownership
  • Day 4-7: We begin the deletion process across all our systems
  • Day 8-30: We complete the deletion and send confirmation

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity. This may include:

  • Confirming your email address
  • Verifying account ownership through security questions
  • Requesting additional identification documents
  • Contacting you through your registered contact methods

Third-Party Data

If you have connected third-party services (like Shopify, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp), you may need to:

  • Disconnect these services from your Zoopy account
  • Request data deletion directly from these platforms
  • Review their respective privacy policies and deletion procedures

Confirmation and Follow-up

Once your data has been deleted, we will send you a confirmation email. If you have any questions or concerns about the deletion process, please contact us at privacy@zoopy.io.

Alternative: Account Deactivation

If you're not ready to permanently delete your data, you can temporarily deactivate your account. This will:

  • Hide your account from other users
  • Stop all automated processes
  • Preserve your data for future reactivation
  • Allow you to reactivate within 90 days
